Things To Take To The Hospital
A baby can come at any time in the few weeks near your delivery date, and its schedule may not be the same as yours! These are the things our baby experts recommend you bring to the hospital with you when your labour begins:
- >A rear-facing carseat: You will not be allowed to leave the hospital with your newborn, unless you have a Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard certified, correctly installed car seat.
- >A nursing bra or nursing tank.
- >A nursing pillow.
- >Nursing pads.
- >A swaddling or receiving blanket.
- >Baby's first outfit.
- >A comfy robe and slippers or socks.
- >Clothes to go home in. bring something loose and comfortable to wear.
- >A camera.
- >A well-stocked diaper bag.
- >Lip balm: for that dry hospital air
- >Entertainment: magazines, ipods, books, etc.
- Always follow the guidelines as instructed by your medical practitioner in preparing for your hospital stay
